Top jackpot
If your reel slot machine takes 2 coins as a maximum, and it is a $1 denomination machine, the top jackpot may be, say, $1,600 (there are many varieties of jackpots, but this is a good example). On this machine, the top jackpot for 1-coin play may be $400, but it pays $1,600 for the 2-coin play. That’s a difference of $1,200! If you play only 1 coin on a machine such as this, and you actually hit the top jackpot, you have just cheated yourself out of an extra pay of $1,200. Instead of having it for yourself, you have given it away to the casino because you did not play the maximum coins and therefore did not force the casino to pay you off at the maximum available pay. If you can’t afford to bet the maximum coins, don’t play - or don’t play at that level. Find a machine on which you can afford to play the maximum coins, or save up and play the machine you want to when you have enough money as your bankroll to play it properly and to your best advantage
